One year after restructuring, Affeldt, the manufacturer of packaging equipment that enjoys a high-profile reputation worldwide, is firmly established in the industry. The takeover of the company business by the brothers Klaus and Wolf-Peter Möller - a result of the rescue package - is bearing first fruits. Once again, more than 80 personnel are working in development, production and distribution in Neuendorf bei Elmshorn. The Möller brothers have implemented a transparent management culture and at the same time introduced a programme of advanced training for the company employees. The loyalty of many customers has been regained, not only due to the excellent reputation of the Affeldt brand on the market. For the coming financial year, the company aims to focus on signing up suitable trading partners in the major import markets in North America, the Pacific region and Latin America. It is planned also, with the assistance of strong partners, to build up an extended distribution network within Europe. At IFRA Expo 2011 in Vienna, Affeldt will present the further developed UNI 20 airless film-wrapping machine with integrated bottom sheet and downstream UNI 20S side-sealing unit.
